We talked about Stephen King's Carrie in class today and what it is that frightens us in horror movies or novels. According to Freud, nothing is scarier than when normal things become strange. I agree with him on that point, but fail to see what that has to do with castration anxiety.

I just received my first Valentine's card ever. I did tell Mika that I'm not too fond of Valentine's Day, but he insisted on sending me a card anyway, especially since it's apparently called the Friends' Day in Finland, so you can send cards to all your friends.
